What is professional teeth whitening?

Whitening is the easiest and safest method to achieve a shiny and beautiful new smile.

Whitening is a procedure in which the dentin is stimulated by the hydrogen peroxide of the whitening gels, and in some patients, sensitivity may occur. This happens rarely, but if it does, we have a desensitizer that virtually eliminates the sensitivity, so the risk of you experiencing pain is practically minimized.

What are the advantages of the professional whitening?

The procedure is short, including the selection of a suitable material.

There is no risk to the health of the teeth and gums. In-office whitening is performed once in the clinic, and the effect is visible immediately after the manipulation.

Whitening considers the health condition and individual needs of the patient. The long-lasting effect of the procedure depends a lot on the pigmented foods and drinks (tea, red wine, coffee, etc.) that we consume, as well as on smoking.

Frequently Asked Questions

We decided to answer some frequently asked questions related to the procedure: professional whitening asked by our patients.

A temporary increase in sensitivity to temperature, pressure and touch may occur. Increased sensitivity does not last longer than 1-2 days.

Teeth whitening usually does not change the color of teeth with fillings and other restorative materials, such as zirconia and ceramics.

Usually, cosmetic dentists recommend that their patients get veneers after reaching a certain age. This is because with growth, the position of the gum and the tooth changes, which in turn creates a gap between the veneers and the gums. It is extremely important that you follow your body's normal growth cycle and consult with your dentist about the options that dentistry offers.
A curious fact is that in women the growth of the jaws ends around the age of 17, and in men after the age of 20!

There is no risk to the health of the teeth and gums.

You only need to comply with the following recommendations:

  1. You should be over 16 years old;
  2. Teeth whitening is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women.
